This is my first attempt to use a recipe to approximate a look that has sparked alot of debate around the web. The look is Dave Hill Photographer and the discussion is found at a flickr. I ran a Photomatrix HDR on the pic and then did the the flickr tutorial.
I don’t think I quite got it but it is pretty cool shot of my son Tyler

Not too bad, Dave Hill isn’t using photomatix though. Most of his work is done using a large number of very precise lights, with just a small amount of post production. You can get close using the computer, but I have yet to see a result that is spot on.
